The Statue of Liberty, NYC

Even if you are only in NYC for 1 day, one attraction you just have to see is the Statue of Liberty. Though access to the crown area is not possible these days, a tour and boat trip are possible. You can reach the attraction by ferry which you can take from Battery Park. Do not forget to visit the Ellis Island on the way back.

Broadway and the theatre District

Theatre enthusiasts will no doubt love this area; an area with more than 30 theatres with a very good selection off on and off Broadway shows. Times Square is an area which many shops, cafes and in general is just a great place to experience at least once. The Brooklyn attractionsdistrict is lined with the theatres, shops, and hotels and is the hub of Manhattan.

Brooklyn Bridge

The U.S. is famous for its spectacular bridges and the Brooklyn Bridge in New York is amongst the best bridges in the world. Located in Brooklyn borough and connected with Park Row and Brooklyn Heights, this bridge enables you to take a look at Manhattan from a distance and is a great photo opportunity.

Empire State Building

The 102 storey Empire State building is one of the most impressive of New York's buildings and offer a wonderful view of Central Park and most of Manhattan. The view from the top gives you an excellent appreciation for the layout and look of Manhattan. The awe-inspiring structure also houses some of the best names in the world of business, entertainment and fashion. If times permits then it is worth also experiencing the 25 minute New York Skyride that gives an aerial view of the Big Apple.

New York Stock Exchange

The New York Stock Exchange, better known as Wall Street is another major tourist attraction in the city. It is here where colossal amounts of money is made and lost every minute. And if you happen to come by at the right time, then you may hear the famous closing bell as well.
