The Frick Collection
The Frick Collection and gallery is a wonderful attraction for those who appreciate art and artifacts of historic importance. Located in the Manhattan between Madison Avenue and 5th Avenue, the high quality paintings and other works of art housed in The Frick Collection are unique and rare.
The museum served as the former residence for business tycoon Henry Clay Frick who personally looked after the interior decoration of the place. Though the credit for the original design and decoration of the museum goes to Thomas Hastings, some of the
famous artists whose works also form a part of the collection are Cimabue, Barna daSiena, Rembrandt and Anthony van Dyck.
The Frick Collection gallery and museum often also have temporary collections and these collections highlight some more of the worlds best art. You can get guided tours via audio of the collections and from time to time the Frick Museum also hold concerts.
