The UN Headquarters, NYC - Attractions guide

UN Headquarters

The UN Headquarters is a spectacular four building complex which is located in Manhattan and was designed by a team of architects that consisted of the likes of Oscar Niemeyer, Le Corbusier and Wallace K. Harrison.

The four main parts of the buildings are formed by The Dag Hammarskjold Library, The Secretariat, The General Assembly and The Conference building. There is also a park beside the complex that contains such artifacts as ‘Let Us Beat Swords into Plowshares’ and remnants of the Berlin Wall. The flags of all the member nations of UN are lined upalong the First Avenue and it truly form a sight to behold.

The UN Headquarters guided tour is worth going on although if you have only a fewdays then attractions such as the Empire State and The Statue of Liberty I would UN Tours in NYCrecommend to prioritise first. If time though then why not also include the UN HQ guided tour?

One thing to note is that you will have to go through security and they are quite strict and there can sometimes be queus so be prepared for this aspect of this tour. If going throyugh security checks is a pet hate then other NYC tours may be better for you.
