The Angelika Film Center
The Angelika Film Center is an independent film house in Soho, which screens a host of eclectic films. The Angelika is one of the well known theatres in New York, as is its sister theatre, the Village East Cinema, which started operations in 1926. Village East tends to show more action oriented and mainstream films than the Angelika Film Center.
Landmark’s Sunshine Cinema
Landmark’s Sunshine Cinema on the Lower East Side, with its five halls, comfortable seats, excellent sound is also a good place to go for a movie. It was first opened in 1909.
Quad Cinema
Quad Cinema, in Greenwich Village is also another popular cinema theatre that is much appreciated by locals and tourists for the unusual and interesting films shown here.
