Best English and Irish pubs in NYC

Best Pubs guide

There are literally dozens of English and Irish pubs in New York City and the strong Irish influence and high Irish population in the local area influences this. Below a look at 5 of our favourites.

Molly’s, 3rd Avenue: This is perhaps the most frequented Irish pub in town, thanks to the setting and the ambience. Along with authentic Irish liquor and foods, this is a great place for anyone visiting NYC and looking for a relaxing pint of guinness. Popular also with locals this is a nice pub and great option.

Stout’s (133 West 33rd Street): This is one of our favourite NYC Irish pubs and in addition to an excellent pint of Guinness and good atmosphere, there is also a good line-up of live music. This is also doubles as a sports bar and has large screens for sports.

Croxley Ales (28 Avenue B): A reat place for sport and a pint and once you find this pub its a great place to head to each time. It has been designed on the lines of a typical Best Irish pubsEnglish bar or Ale house and has TV and LCDs placed in all the strategic nooks and corners so that you can view your favourite game from about any angle or position.

Lillie’s (13 East 17th Street): Festivities go on until late night here even on a typical weekday. Such is the charm of Lillie’s which is famous for its quintessential Irish-Victorian set up. Prompt service, soothing music and excellent food make it very popular among the residents and the tourist to NYC.
