Guide To The New York Mets
A major league baseball team based in Queens, the New York Mets have been playing in the East Division of the Major League Baseball’s National League since 1965. When the team was first created, the New York Mets were more of an amalgamation of the erstwhile National League teams, the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants.
Since 2010, the Mets matches have been played out in the Citi Field stadium; previously having played their matches were held in the iconic Shea Stadium. The Mets have won 2 
World Series titles and four National League pennants and have also won five National League East championships.
Over the years, the NY Mets have managed to capture the hearts of many fans in the US and many past memories stick in the minds of fans from games at Shea Stadium. Their anthem is the ‘Meet the Mets’ song which is played whenever the team plays a match.
